2026 Toyota Sequoia Platinum Build, 74Weld Portals, King Suspension, 39″ BFG KO3s & Full Baja Designs Lighting Package
This 2026 Toyota Sequoia Platinum came through the Mountain Yotas Off-Road shop in Colorado for a full transformation focused on suspension, lighting, recovery, and more. We built this Sequoia to comfortably clear 39″ tires while retaining daily driving manners on the road, while being incredibly functional for off-road use.
We installed 74Weld portal axles, King suspension, Camburg upper control arms, full rear geometry correction, integrated lighting, onboard air, and a complete switch management system into one extremely clean package. This Platinum Sequoia is wild!
This build ended up being one of the cleanest Sequoias we have put together to date.
King Suspension System & Camburg Upper Control Arms

Suspension on this Sequoia centers around a full King 2.5 remote reservoir suspension system with compression adjusters paired with Camburg KINETIK upper control arms.
- King 2.5 front remote reservoir coilovers with adjusters
- King 2.5 rear remote reservoir shocks with adjusters
- Camburg KINETIK upper control arms
- Icon rear upper and lower links
- Icon adjustable rear track bar
- Total Chaos lower control arm cam tab gussets
The rear links and adjustable panhard bar help recenter the axle and improve rear suspension movement after lift height changes.
74Weld Portal Axles & 39″ Tire Fitment

The biggest upgrade on this Sequoia is the 74Weld portal system. This setup adds lift directly at the hub instead of relying entirely on suspension height.
That means the truck maintains better suspension geometry and drivability while still creating enough room to properly clear 39″ tires. Absolutely insane!
- 74Weld portal axles
- Method 703 Bead Grip wheels
- 17X8.5 +35 offset
- BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO3 tires
- 39X13.50R17 tire package
Some trimming and clearancing was still required to fully cycle the suspension and clear the tires correctly, but the final stance came out extremely well.
Lighting Package, Bumper Lighting & Ditch Lights

Lighting on this Sequoia is extensive without looking cluttered. We integrated multiple Baja Designs systems throughout the vehicle.
For ditch lighting, we used SDHQ A pillar mounts paired with Baja Designs LP6 lights.
- Baja Designs LP6 ditch lights
- SDHQ A pillar light mounts
- Baja Designs S2 Pro fog lights
- Driving combo amber fogs
- Wide cornering amber fogs
- Push bar mounted LP6 bumper lights
The bumper mounted LP6 setup is incredibly clean and adds impressive forward output while still maintaining a clean overall appearance. Everything was wired through proper upfitter harnesses and integrated into the switch system.
Switch Pros Panel Mount & Engine Bay Wiring Integration

To control all accessories, this Sequoia runs a Switch Pros 9100 system mounted overhead using the SDHQ overhead panel mount.
This location keeps controls easily accessible without adding clutter throughout the interior.
- Switch Pros 9100 controller
- SDHQ overhead panel mount
- Custom hybrid power relocation
- Integrated high beam light triggering
- Clean engine bay wiring management
We also completed a hybrid power relocation system (we built in-house here at Mountain Yotas) to better organize power distribution and support the growing electrical demand from lighting and accessories.
All auxiliary lighting was tied into high beam activation as well, allowing the entire lighting package to work together when needed.
ARB Twin Compressor & Under Hood Mount

For onboard air, we installed an ARB twin compressor with a custom under-hood mounting solution.
- ARB twin compressor
- Custom under hood compressor mount
- ARB pump up kit
- Integrated wiring and air routing
AMP Research Steps & Daily Usability

Getting in and out of a portal equipped Sequoia on 39s can become difficult quickly, especially for passengers and daily driving situations.
To solve that, we added AMP Research PowerSteps with extension arms for additional reach and usability.
- AMP Research PowerSteps
- Extension arm kit
- Automatic retracting functionality
- Improved access with portal ride height
Final Stance & Ride Height

The combination of portals, Kings, corrected rear geometry, and properly selected wheel offset gave the truck a very planted stance without looking excessively wide.
Even with 39″ tires, the suspension geometry remains controlled and predictable. Ride quality stays surprisingly comfortable while adding substantial ground clearance and capability.
If you are planning a full Sequoia build, looking for a Toyota fabrication shop in Colorado, or need help with suspension, portals, wiring, or lighting integration, Mountain Yotas can help you build a complete package from the ground up.
