Nebula Gray Pearl 2025 Lexus GX550 Overtrail Build With CBI Low Profile Bumper, Winch & Baja Designs
Yet another 2025 Lexus GX550 Overtrail came through the shop for a clean overland-spec build focused on maintaining the factory look while adding a bit of functionality.
The customer wanted his GX to look close to stock, while adding a front bumper, integrating a winch, and upgrading lighting without going too aggressive on the overall appearance. I think this one turned out amazing.

CBI Low Profile Front Bumper
Up front, we installed a CBI overland front bumper designed specifically for the GX550 platform. This is a low profile option that retains more of the factory styling while still adding protection and recovery capability.
Finished in powder coat, the bumper blends well with the OEM lines and avoids the bulkier look of full plate bumpers. It is a solid option for owners who want added function without completely changing the look of the vehicle.
Winch + Factor 55 Recovery Gear
For recovery, this GX is running a Superwinch SX10SR rated at 10,000 lbs with synthetic rope. The winch is mounted cleanly inside the CBI bumper, keeping everything tucked and protected.
At the fairlead, we added a Factor 55 Flatlink in gray for a closed system recovery point. This keeps things simple, strong, and safe for recovery situations.
Baja Designs S8 Light Bar
Lighting was upgraded with a Baja Designs S8 20″ light bar in a driving and combo pattern. This provides a good balance of distance and usable foreground lighting for night driving and off road use.
The light bar is mounted cleanly into the bumper and wired using a Baja Designs harness tied into the factory auxiliary switch system.

A key part of this build was keeping everything clean and simple. We used factory-style aux pigtails to integrate lighting and accessories directly into the GX system.
This keeps wiring organized, easy to service, and consistent with the OEM setup.
Alignment & Final Setup
Our customer also decided to give the GX a full alignment on this build. This GX550 left the shop with a clean, low profile bumper setup, integrated winch, and upgraded lighting. It maintains the factory look while adding the functionality most owners are looking for.
