Westcott Lift, Method 323 Wheels & Falken Wildpeak A T4W Tires
This 2026 Lexus GX550 Overtrail came through Mountain Yotas in Wheat Ridge, Colorado for a clean suspension, wheel, and tire upgrade. The goal for this build was to improve stance, add clearance, and maintain the smooth ride quality the GX platform is known for.
With a simple but effective setup, this GX now sits better, clears larger tires, and is ready for both daily driving and occasional off-roading around Colorado’s off-road and overland trails.
Westcott Designs Pre-Collar Lift Kit
To gain additional height without overcomplicating the suspension, we installed a Westcott Designs Pre Collar Lift Kit in black anodized finish. This setup provides a clean lift while retaining factory ride characteristics.
The pre collar design allows for increased ride height without replacing the full suspension system, making it a great option for newer GX550 owners looking to improve stance and clearance without going to a full coilover setup.
Method 323 Wheels in Gloss Bronze
For wheels, we went with Method 323s in a gloss bronze finish. Sized at 20×9 with a +12 offset, this setup gives the GX a wider, more aggressive stance while still fitting clean within the factory body lines.
The bronze finish pairs well with the GX550 styling and adds contrast without being over the top.
Falken Wildpeak A T4W Tires
This GX is running Falken Wildpeak A T4W tires in LT285/65R20. These tires are known for their balanced performance, offering strong on road comfort while still providing traction in dirt, snow, and rocky terrain.
The E load rating adds durability for heavier vehicles like the GX550, making them a solid choice for both daily driving and off road use.
Mount, Balance & TPMS Setup
All wheels and tires were mounted and balanced in house, along with proper TPMS integration. We also installed Gorilla lug nuts with a splined key for a clean and secure fit.
Proper mounting and balancing is key to keeping ride quality smooth, especially when stepping up in tire size and weight.
Alignment & Final Setup
After installation, the GX received a full alignment to bring everything back into spec. This ensures proper handling, even tire wear, and overall drivability after the lift and new wheel and tire setup.
This GX550 left the shop with a clean, functional setup that improves stance, adds capability, and keeps everything driving how it should for both city use and Colorado terrain.
